Rob is a Geek. It must be true; he has a t-shirt with it written on. Rob has always been a geek, and will probably always be a geek, but be warned - if you ask him a question about your computer, you better already know the answer or you won't understand a word! If you are in any doubt, check out some of his current websites - raww.org or icablog. For those of you who don't want to look, all I shall say is "Spectrums". As in very old computers. Did you know, you can actually get programmes for your PC that make it run like a Spectrum!!
Born and bred in Merriott, Rob moved into Yeovil in 2002. It was in anticipation of this move that Rob finally decided to learn to drive. Before this he had walked 3 miles to the nearest station to catch the train to work. As the station described as Yeovil Junction is actually 5 miles out of town (and very uphill from our house), this was deemed to be too far, the test was passed and Steve was adopted. Steve the Austin Maestro. Regrettably Steve finally fell apart last year, otherwise he would have been driving Cath to the church - he was white (and rust) after all!
Apart from Cath, there are two other main loves in Rob's lives. The first is Steve Wilson. The second is cats. Steve Wilson is a musician, and a key member of the band Porcupine Tree. Anyone who has know Rob for longer than 10 minutes gets to know Porcupine Tree if they do not already. There is some concern as PT do not write happy songs, and yet there is no other choice for a first dance song. With any luck, one will be written in the next year!
Rob has always had cats. Currently there is a small cat shaped hole in the house some day soon we hope it will be filled. In the meantime, Rob is choosing to believe that Cath's parents' new puppy is actually a cat, even though she is a bit big. He has been taking her out for walks, and when they go they seem to walk for miles. Jess enjoys walks with Rob, as she gets biscuits to help he round the corners...
